This bank was started in the year 1966 march 14 and commonly known as China Securities Investment Corp(CTBC Bank) and has been affiliated with CTBC Financial Holding Co., Ltd. since May 17, 2002.Transactions include like deposits, loans, guarantees and foreign exchange, offshore banking units (OBU), trusts, credit cards, securities, bonds, future owners, derivatives, factoring, safe deposit boxes, electronic banking services and national lottery.

To maximize its operational reach, CTBC Bank merged with Grand Commercial Bank in December 2003, acquired the Fengshan Credit Union in July 2004 and successfully won the purchase of Enterprise Bank of Hualien in May 2007. To make the Group to be more effective, Chinatrust Bills Finance Corporation on April 26, 2008.
